Yes, dogs can greatly benefit from doggy daycare. A quality daycare provides socialisation opportunities that help dogs develop healthy interactions with other dogs and people, reducing stress and improving their behaviour. It also offers structured activities and collective rest to keep them engaged and balanced throughout the day.

For puppies, daycare supports their development during critical learning stages, fostering confidence and teaching them how to interact in a safe and controlled environment. Read more about how daycare helps with socialisation and the benefits for puppies on our blog.

At Kuri City Doggy Daycare, your dog enjoys a structured, engaging, and safe day. Our schedule includes:

  • Enrichment Activities: Dogs participate in water play, agility courses, ball games, and more, ensuring mental stimulation and physical activity.
  • Group Rest: Rest periods are an essential part of the day to help dogs relax and recharge. Read more about the importance of rest in doggy daycare.
  • Training and Behaviour Management: Our experienced staff address any bad behaviour and reinforce good manners to promote a calm, well-behaved dog.

Every dog’s day is tailored to ensure they leave happy, content, and ready for a restful evening.

Yes, it’s normal for dogs to feel tired after a day at doggy daycare. This is typically a sign they’ve had a fulfilling day of play, socialisation, and enrichment activities. However, daycare shouldn’t overwhelm your dog. At Kuri, we prioritise balance with structured activities, group rest, and personalised care to ensure dogs stay happy and relaxed.

To learn more about why your dog might feel tired and how we manage their energy levels, visit our blog: Do Dogs Get Tired of Doggy Daycare?.

The ideal frequency for doggy daycare depends on your dog’s age, energy level, and personality.

  • High-energy dogs may benefit from attending daycare 2–3 times a week to burn off energy and stay mentally stimulated.
  • Puppies often thrive with regular daycare visits to support socialisation and learning during their critical development stages. Learn more about daycare for your puppy.
  • Low-energy or older dogs might enjoy occasional visits to stay active without becoming overwhelmed.

At Kuri, we suggest starting with one or two days per week and adjusting based on how your dog responds. Regular attendance helps dogs settle into the routine, feel comfortable, and enjoy the benefits of daycare. If you’re unsure, our team is happy to help you determine the best schedule for your dog.

Yes, doggy daycare can be beneficial for dogs with separation anxiety. It provides a safe and engaging environment where they are surrounded by people and other dogs, reducing feelings of isolation. Structured activities, group play, and rest periods help keep their minds occupied, which can ease anxiety symptoms over time.

At Kuri, our staff are trained to support dogs with anxiety, ensuring they feel secure and comfortable. By gradually building confidence and positive associations, daycare can help your dog cope better when apart from you. If your dog has separation anxiety, speak with our team to develop a tailored approach to meet their needs.

Your dog will show several signs if they enjoy doggy daycare:

  • Excitement on Arrival: They might wag their tail, appear eager, or pull you towards the entrance.
  • Positive Interactions: While at daycare, they engage happily with other dogs and staff.
  • Relaxed at Home: After daycare, your dog should be tired but content, not overly stressed or anxious.
  • Improved Behaviour: Regular daycare attendance often results in better socialisation skills and fewer behavioural issues at home.

If you’re unsure, our team at Kuri can provide feedback on how your dog is settling in and adjusting to the daycare environment. Regular updates and observations help ensure your dog is happy and thriving.

I have nothing but good things to say about Kuri. They put so much effort and time into making … More sure all the dogs are well looked after and exercised. The staff are absolutely lovely and my doggo is beside himself with excitement every time I drop him off. He also loves their raw food. 100% recommend them.
