We’re excited to welcome back a familiar face to the Kuri family!
Rochelle has re-joined our team, bringing over 10 years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities.
Many of you will remember her from her eight years here under previous ownership, and we’re thrilled to have her energy, skill, and calm presence back at Kuri.
Rochelle has completed Animal Care training at Christchurch Polytechnic, Canine First Aid, and a wide range of courses, workshops, and mentoring with experienced trainers. Her experience is deeply practical, built from years of real-world work, continued study, and a genuine passion for dog behaviour.
Her training philosophy is centred around:
Positive reinforcement
Marker-based communication
Building calm, confident behaviour
Desensitisation for anxious or overwhelmed dogs
Safe, structured socialisation
Supporting each dog’s individual needs and pace

KURI’s training programme is about building confidence and strengthening the bond between you and your dog. Our group classes focus on clear structure and positive learning, helping your dog develop solid manners and stay settled in everyday situations. The sessions also give your dog safe social time so they learn to stay calm around others.
A confident dog is easier to live with and more relaxed in daily life. Each week you leave with simple steps you can use at home to keep your dog improving.

Can my puppy attend daycare?

What grooming services do you offer?
We offer full grooming, bath and tidy, coat-specific cuts, nail trims, and deshedding for dogs of all sizes and breeds.
Can you groom anxious or nervous dogs?
Yes. Our groomers are experienced with nervous and rescue dogs. We take a calm, gentle approach to help your dog feel relaxed and safe.
How often should my dog be groomed?
Most dogs need grooming every 4–8 weeks depending on coat type. Regular grooming keeps skin healthy and reduces shedding.

What is raw dog food, and why feed it?
Raw dog food is a natural diet of meat, organs, and bone — designed to match how dogs are meant to eat. It supports better digestion, coat health, and overall vitality.
Do you deliver raw dog food outside Christchurch?
Yes. We deliver fresh, frozen raw food across Christchurch and the South Island using temperature-safe packaging.
How do I start feeding my dog raw food?
Start with our Kuri Raw Starter Pack or use our Feeding Calculator to find the right meal size. We make switching to raw simple and safe.
Is raw feeding suitable for all dogs?
Definitely. Our meals are designed to support all breeds and life stages — from puppies to seniors. Many dogs with allergies or gut issues thrive on our recipes.
